From the Brand: Seed Needs

Meet the Owner! I started Seed Needs at just 15 to bring my family closer, to retire my father, to employ friends, and most importantly, to help people!

Popular Items Fresh for 2024! Who doesn't love flowers? We offer open-pollinated, heirloom favorites such as daisies, cosmos, zinnias, nasturtium, sunflowers, and more! Seed Needs also offers a wide range of both culinary and medicinal herb seeds, including basil, chives, cilantro, rosemary, lavender, chamomile, and more. Additionally, we offer all the popular heirloom favorites in vegetable seeds, such as carrots, cabbage, lettuce, radish, tomatoes, kale, beets, and turnips.

How Did You Start? Seed Needs originally started as a username for an online marketplace. We discovered Amazon in 2010 and soon after, we established a brand, selling our products to millions of happy customers over the past decade.

What Makes Our Products Unique? We absolutely LOVE art and not only provide quality seeds but beautiful packaging as well. You'll be sure to smile when you receive your order!

What Are You Most Proud Of? With the success of Seed Needs, we have been able to grow our sponsorships from just 1 kid to over 100 kids each month. We are very humbled to help those in need! It all started with Reina, the first child I sponsored in 2010. More than a decade later, Seed Needs now sponsors over 100 kids each and every month.

Donations We continually donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital each and every month. Thanks to all who purchase our seeds to make this possible! We not only help the humans, but we also LOVE animals and choose to donate to ASPCA monthly as well.

A Seed Company on a Mission for Change Seed Needs has been providing gardeners with quality seed products since 2010 and has shipped millions of packets to customers all over the US. We offer flowers, herbs, vegetables, vines, wildflower blends, seed packet collections, and seed packet favors.

With the success of our brand, we have kept our promise to continually donate to different organizations and personally sponsor children all over the globe each and every month. We grew our sponsorships from just 1 child to over 100 children worldwide in only a few years. We would like to sincerely thank all who support us because it wouldn't be possible without you!

Product Description: Grow Red Yarrow from fresh Achillea millefolium rubra flower seeds. Red Yarrow will produce clusters of ruby red to deep magenta-colored flowers. Mature plants will reach a height of about 12 to 30 inches tall and will spread 18 to 24 inches wide. Red Yarrow flowers are known to attract an array of beneficial insects, such as butterflies, bumblebees, ladybugs, and hummingbirds.

Yarrow plants will form single stems that branch off into smaller stems. Each smaller stem can develop clusters of flowers, ranging anywhere from 15 to 50 blooms per cluster. The leaves look similar to a feather, growing in a spiral formation. The Achillea plant can often be seen in floral arrangements and bouquets for their thick, colorful blooms and attractive foliage.

Grown as a perennial flowering plant, Red Yarrow will develop a deep root system, later returning the following year after all danger of frost has passed. The plants will flower during the Spring and summer months of May and June, later wilting. Greatly used in borders, flower beds, and by the masses in a naturalized setting.

Sowing the Seed Yarrow Seeds can be sown directly in the garden or indoors, 6 to 8 weeks prior to the last frost. If started indoors, sow in peat pots, sowing the tiny white seeds right on the surface of the soil. Do not cover the tiny seeds as they will require light to properly germinate. Direct sow your seeds or transplant your seedlings into the garden once all danger of frost has passed.

Growing Conditions Yarrow should be placed in an area of full sunlight for the majority of the day. They will thrive in temperatures of 68°F or above. They are not picky about soil and will do surprisingly well in dry to medium moist conditions. Keep in mind, however, that a well-drained soil is best. Adding compost to areas of hard, compact soil is recommended. Water daily with a mist setting until germination has occurred.

Germination & Growth Your Red Yarrow seeds will begin to germinate within 7 to 21 days after sowing. The plants will reach a mature height of 12 to 30 inches tall and will spread 18 to 24 inches wide. Each plant can be spaced 18 to 20 inches apart from one another. Once established, you will enjoy the beautiful and dense clusters of Red Yarrow flowers. Each plant can produce hundreds of blooms in the Spring and Summer months of May and June.

Seed Needs never knowingly purchases treated seeds products. We also do not treat any of our seed products with substances such as neonicotinoid or thyram. Always fresh and intended for the current and following growing seasons. Seeds are packaged in water-resistant and tear-resistant packaging.

Heirlooms are varieties that have been purposely bred, selected, and passed down from generation to generation. They are wholesome picks that will breed true to the parent seed every time. Flowers will attract all sorts of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees, honeybees, and ladybugs.

Quality, Quantity, Packets, Promise, Germination, and Packaging - Seed Needs provides the best seed products for your gardening needs.
